Welcome to the website of Dr. Lozada. On his previous website, for Rosedale Vision Center, the goal was to help patients stay informed so as to better care for themselves; the goal remains the same.
Vision Is More Than How Clearly You See
There are three basic reasons why someone does not see well. The first reason is straightforward; the eyes are out of focus and either eye glasses or contact lenses are needed to focus properly; most people seek eye care for this reason.*
The second reason is also straightforward; a disease is affecting the eyes. The location of the disease does not matter, a health problem of the eye will affect vision as will some systemic illnesses like Diabetes; many people seek eye care for this reason.
The third reason is not straightforward, but equally important; the eyes are not able to work together. For these individuals, each eye by itself may have clear vision, but trying to use both together is difficult, or even impossible, due to a lack of coordination between the eye muscles which are known collectively as Binocular Vision Disorders. Most people are unaware that they can seek eye care for these conditions; this website has been designed to change that.
*Myopia (nearsightedness) is rapidly increasing around the world.
